Let the three consecutive integers be x-1,x,x+1.
their sum is:
x-1 + x + x+1
Setting it equal to 138, we have
x-1 + x + x+1 = 138
Solving for x, we have
3x = 138
x = 46
So the three consecutive numbers are 45,46,47.
