Let x=amount of $8 per lb coffee needed
Now we know that the total cost of the coffee before the mixture takes place has to equal the total cost of the coffee after the mixture takes place, so:
$4(20)+$8x= $5(20+x) simplify
$80+$8x=$100+$5x subtract $80 and also $5x from each side
$80-$80+$8x-$5x=$100-$80+$5x-$5x collect like terms
$3x=$20 divide each side by $3
x=6 2/3 lb------amount of $8 coffee needed

$80+$53.3333333=$133.33333333
$133.33333333=$133.333333
