Lee company pays its employees on a graduated commission scale:

6% on the first $40,000 sales, = 0.06*40000
40000
7% on sales from $40,001 to $80,000 and 0.07*40000
13% on sales of more than $80,000. 0,13* 150000
May West, an employee of Lee has $230,000 in sales. What commission did May earn?
Add up
0.06*40000 +0.07*40000+0.13*150000 =24700
He earned $24700 as commission
