(660+2X)+X=1494 WHERE X= THE AMOUNT OF THE LAMONT SHOP.
660+2X+X=1494
3X=1494-660
3X=834
X=834/3
X=$278 IS THE BILL FOR THE LAMONT SHOP
660+2*278=660+556=1216 THE BILL FOR THE MONTROSE SHOP.
