    house + land           = 121000


    house + (house + 5000) = 121000


      x   + ( x + 5000)    = 121000

        2x                 = 121000 - 5000


         x                 =  = 58000.


Thus the house costs  58000  dollars;  the land costs  58000 + 5000 = 63000 dollars.
