Finding the final sales price by finding the amount of each discount and subtracting three times is VERY inefficient for a problem like this.

When the price is marked down 8%, the original price gets multiplied by 92%, or 0.92. Similarly, markdowns of 25% and then 10% multiply the price by 0.75 and 0.90.

So after all three markdowns the final price is

or $61.48, answer B.
