Question 1095095: Which of the following statements is a FALSE statement?
(A) {( ⃠ } represents the empty set.
(B) A set is a subset of itself.
(C) For any two sets S and T, S ∩ T is a subset of S.
(D) If set T has four elements, then any subset of T has four or fewer elements.

Statement A is false.
In fact, statement A has no meaning. I think statement A is supposed to be
{ ⃠ } instead of {( ⃠ }.
The empty set can be represented by either { }, or by ⃠ .
But { ⃠ } would represent a (non-empty!) set in which the only element is the empty set.
So, assuming statement A is supposed to be that { ⃠ } represents the empty set, statement A is false.
