Answer by jorel555(1290) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let n be the amount invested at 8%. Then:
.08n+.06(5000-n)=380
8n+6(5000-n)=38000
2n=8000
n=4000
$4000 was invested at 8%, $1000 was invested at 6%. ☺☺☺☺
