Question 1021718: A laptop computer that you want to purchase was originally priced at $1,225. You will receive a 20% student discount, and the sales tax rate is 8%. How much money will you pay for the laptop?

Hi there,
Original price = $1,225
20% of $1,225 = $245
Price - discount = $980
Sales tax at 8% = $78.40
Price + sales tax = $1058.40
Hope this helps :-)
