and the other is 11%. The amount here is x+300
the total interest is $ 137,
5%x + 11%(x+300) = 137
multiply by 100
5x +11(x+300) = 13700
5x +11x + 3300 = 13700
16x = 13700-3300
16x = 10,400
x = 10400/16

Amount at 5% = 650
Amount at 11% = 650+300 = 950
