Question 991826: One number is two less than a second number. Six times the first is 3 more than 3 times the second
Answer by EdenWolf(517) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x = the second number and (x-2) = the first number.
6(x-2)=3+3x
6x-12=3+3x
Subtract 3x from both sides
3x-12=3
Add 12 to both sides
3x=15
x=5
First number: 3
Second number: 5
