Question 987352: please help me solve this word promblem You are saving money to buy the new iphone 6. if you have $200 and can save $80 each week, How long will it take to save enough money for minimum cost of $550?

You need $550-$200=$350
You divide $350 by $80 and get 4 3/8.
You have to round up and that would require 5 weeks, unless you are saving money on a daily basis and fractions of a week are possible.
In 4 weeks, you will save $320 and have $520, not enough.
In 5 weeks, yo will save $400 and have $600, enough.
