Question 970891: As you can probably tell, I am doing substitution word problems. My word problem said, "A farmer raises chickens and pigs and has a total of 15 animals. If they have a total of 42 legs, how many chickens and how many pigs are there?" I thought you could just divide 15 and 42 but the answer was...2.8? I didn't think that that would be a likely answer, but I don't know what else to try!
