area of a rectangle =l¡Áw
2l 2l=24~(1)
l¡Áw=35~(2)
w=35/l~(3)
put equation (3) into equation (1)
2l 2(35/l)=24
2l 70/l=24
2l^2 70=24l
l^2-12l 35=0
l=5,7
when l=7,w=5
