Question 783429: If f(x) = x^2 and g(x) = x +1 ,find in simplest form f(g( y)) − g(f(y)). Thanks :)
Answer by oscargut(2103) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If f(x) = x^2 and g(x) = x +1 ,find in simplest form f(g( y)) − g(f(y))
f(g(y)) = f(y+1) = (y+1)^2
g(f(y)) = g(y^2) = y^2+1
f(g( y)) − g(f(y)) = (y+1)^2 -(y^2+1) = 2y
Answer: 2y
