3x - 4y = 10
Sort into y = mx + c
-4y = -3x + 10
4y = 3x - 10
Gradient (Slope) = 3
Lines that are parallel have the same gradient.
Using equation:
y - b = m(x - a)
a = 5, b = 6 and m (gradient) = 3
y - 6 = 3(x - 5)
y - 6 = 3x - 15
y = 3x - 15 + 6
y = 3x - 9
Hope this helps.
