Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4 m + 9 z = 7 .............1
2 m -2 z = 3 .............2
Eliminate z
multiply (1)by 2
Multiply (2) by 9
8 m 18 z = 14
18 m + -18 z = 27
Add the two equations
26 m = 41
/ 26
m = 1.58
plug value of m in (1)
4 m + 9 z = 7
6.31 + 9 z = 7
9 z = 7 -6.31
9 z = 0.69
z = 0.08

Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2m+3=2z

2*(2m+3)=2*2z

4m+6=4z

4m=4z-6

------------------------

4m+9z=7

(4z-6)+9z=7

13z-6=7

13z=13

z=1

------------------

4m=4z-6

4m=4(1)-6

4m=-2

m = -2/4

m = -1/2

So the solutions are m = -1/2 and z = 1
