To find the equation of a line, all you need is a point and a slope: True

"as long as the point given is on the line."



Using point-slope formula, , equation of the line

 to find the equation of a line with slope m and  on the line.

Let say m = 2 and  Pt( 2,3) is on the line

  y - 3 = 2(x-2)  OR y = 2x -1
