Snookers lumber can converg logs into either lumber or plywood. In a given day the mill turns out twice as many units of plywood as lumber. It makes a profit of $25 on a unit of lumber and $50 on a unit of plywood. How many of each unit must be produced and sold in order to make a profit of $12,625.

Let x = no. of units of lumber produced
It says,"the mill turns out twice as many units of plywood as lumber." therefore:
2x = no. of units of plywood
:
lumber$ + plywood$ = $12,625
25x + 50(2x) = 12625
25x + 100x = 12625
125x = 12625

x = 101 units of lumber
