Question 459933: I'm 46 and trying to refresh my skills
How would I solve the following:
The amount of money that a salesperson makes varies directly as the total amount of sales made. If the salesperson receives 7,500 for selling a house for 120,000, how much will he make if he sells a house for 150,000?

Answer by rfer(16322)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
75/1200=x/1500
1200x=112500
x=93.75
x=$9,375
You can carry the zeros through if you like.
