A local retailer is selling all $35 area rugs at 25% off.
Note: paying 75% of it's $35 value
additional 10% off the sale price (or paying 90% of the sale price)
.90(.75*35) = $23.63
CHECKING our Answer***
.25*35 = 8.75
35 - 8.75 = 26.25
.90*26.25 = 23.625
