here y = 2x -2
when x= 1, y = 2*1-2= 0
when x =3, y = 2*3-2= 4
when x = 5, y = 2*5-2 = 8
when x = 10, y= 2*10-2 = 18
when x = 50, y = 2*50-2 = 98
when x = 100, y = 2*100-2 = 198
