Question 410532: Hi I am trying to make sure I have done the steps correctly with this problem and just need to know if I am right whether or not this equation represents a linear, quadratic or exponential function.
y = 10x - 3 - 12x (I think it is a Linear)
Thanks :o)
Answer by Theo(13342) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
you are correct.
it is linear.
y = 10x - 3 - 12x can be simplified by commbining like terms to get:
y = -2x - 3
since the highest order exponent is 1, then the equation is linear.
