Question 394821: 6(a+b)^2 + 11(a+b) +3
Factor fully and please show steps.
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
6(a+b)^2 + 11(a+b) +3
---
Let (a+b) = w
----
6w^2+11w+3
---
Factor:
6w^2+9w+2w+3
---
= 3w(2w+3) + (2w+3)
---
= (2w+3)(w+1)
---
Substitute:
= (2(a+b)+3)(a+b+1)
----
= (2a+2b+3)(a+b+1)
