Hello,
Let's have x represent the width of the shape.
Now we can set up the following inequality:
x+x+21+21>82
Combine like terms:
2x+42>82
Subtract 42 and divide by 2 to get:
x>20
There we go. Everything greater than 20 cm for the width is the answer.
Make sense?
