Question 251366: John is traveling to a meeting that is 28 miles away. He needs to be there in 30 minutes. How fast does he need to go to make it to the meeting on time?
Answer by richwmiller(17219) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
r*t=d
t=30 mins. or 1/2 hr
d=28
r*1/2=28
r=56 mph minimum.
He has to clear the snow, get out of the driveway, get on the street, wait at traffic lights, find a parking spot, pay the meter and get to the meeting room. And besides, he isn't going to make it because there is no parking spot today.
