2 cars are approaching each other at 40km/h. when they are 1 km apart.
a fly flies at 10m/s between the cars(assume it flies at the constant speed always)
and touches each car on it trip. How far does the fly fly when the cars crash?
:
All we have to do is find out how long it will take the cars to collide
That will also be how long the fly is in the air, find it's flying distance from that (d = speed * time)
:
Relative speed of two cars approaching each other at 40 km/hr = 80 km/hr
Time (in seconds) until they collide = * 3600 = 45 seconds
:
Fly dist = 45 * 10 = 450 meters
