Question 190390: john walked a total distance of 1450 meters in two days. if he walked 370 meters futher on the second day than on the first day, how far did he walk on each day?
Answer by jojo14344(1513) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x = distance he walked on the 1st day.
Also, x + 370 = distance he walked on the 2nd day (370meters more).
Then, Distance on 1st day + Distance on 2nd day = 1450 meters
x = 540 meters , distance he walked on 1st day.
For 2nd day,
Also, x + 370 = 540 + 370 = 910 meters , 2nd day.
Check,
Thank you,
Jojo
