hour. Determine the number of hours of use for which both companies would charge the same amount.

First company charges  1000 + 60x  dollars, where x are hours.

 
Second company charges  100x       dollars.


To find this unknown x, make this equation


    1000 + 60x = 100x.


Then solve it


    1000 = 100x - 60x

    1000 = 40x

    x    = 1000/40 = 25  hours.    ANSWER
