Let x = Angela's score on the 5th test, then (x-7) is her score on the 6th test.
To find the average score, you add the six scores and divide by 6.
Add the numbers in the numerator and then multiply both sides by 6.

Subtract 336 from both sides.
Divide both sides by 2.
This is Angela's score on the 5th test.
This is Angela's score on the 6th test.
