The A and B are the times each person takes alone, the t is how long they work together...thus, plugging in the facts from the problem gives us

1/60 for a person
1/x for daughter
((45/60)+(45/x)) =1
multiply everything by common denominator 60x
45x+2700=60x
15x=2700
x=180 minutes
