a sum of $5 is made up of 60 coins which are either quarters or nickles: how many are there of each?
---------
q + n = 60
25q + 5n = 500
-------------
Or:
60 nickels = $3
Each nickel replaced by a Q adds 20 cents.
$5 - $3 = 200 cents
200/20 = 10 quarters
