Hi there,
Alice is 14 years younger than Bob.
A = B - 14
If Alice's and Bob's Age were added
together the result is 96.
A + B = 96
Replace A with B - 14 from top equation.
B - 14 + B = 96
Collect like terms.
B + B = 96 + 14
2B = 110
B = 55
Bob is 55 years old
Alice is 41 years old.
Hope this helps :-)
