$0.01P+$0.05(3P)+$0.25(P-5)=$4.08
$0.01P+$0.15P+0.25P-$1.25=$4.08 Add $1.25 to each side.
$0.41P=$5.33 Divide each side by $0.41.
P=13 ANSWER 1: There are 13 pennies.
N=3P=3(13)=39 ANSWER 2: There are 39 nickels.
