Quantity Eq:: d = 3q-2
Value: 10d + 25q = 365 cents

Substiute for "d" and solve for "q"
10(3q-2) + 25q = 365
55q = 385
q = 7 (# of quarters)

d = 3*7-2 = 19 (# of dimes)
