If all 19 coins were quarters, the total would be 19*.25, or 4.75
The actual total is 3.70. The difference is 4.75-3.70, or 1.05
The difference between a dime and a quarter is .15
1.05/.15 = 7
There are 7 dimes. Therefore, there are 19-7, or 12 quarters.
7 dimes = .70
12 quarters = 3.00
.70 + 3.00 = $3.70
