She can't have more than 3 quarters
She can't have fewer than 3 pennies to make 83 cents
3+3=6
which are 6 coins she needs one more coin
3 quarters+3 pennies=78 cents
83-78=5 cents
3 quarters and 3 pennies and one nickel
