Draw .75 cents using 50 coins
--------
Value: p + 5n + 10d = 75 cents
Quantity: p + n + d = 50 coins
---------------------------
Modify:
p = 75-(5n+10d)
-----
Substitute:
75 -5n - 10d + n + d = 50
-4n - 9d = -25
4n + 9d = 25
------
4n value: 4,8,12,16
9d values: 9,18
-----
9 + 16 = 25
---
Ans:
n = 4(# of nickels)
d = 1(# of dimes)
p = 75-(5n+10d) = 75-(20+10) = 45 (# of pennies)
