Q: I have the same number of 10 pence coins and 50 pence coins. Their total value is 4.20 pounds. How many of each do I have?
----
Let the number of each be "x":::
Equation:
value + value = value
10x +50x = 4.20 pounds
------------------
Note: At this point you need to know the number of pence that equal a pound.
