I first set up the problem as .5x + 50 = 2/3x where x would be the 100% of the pennies in the bank, but then I realized I would get a number less than 50. I am not sure where to go with this.

given:

Multiply both sides by

The bank can hold 300 pennies
check:
It's 1/2 full- that's 150 pennies
Add 50- that's 200 pennies
