Value Equation:: 5n +25q= 180 cents

divide thru the bottom equation to get:
n + q = 20
n +5q = 36

Subtract and solve for "q":
4q = 16
q = 4 (# of quarters)

Solve for "n":
n + q = 20
n + 4 = 20
n = 16 (# of nickels)
