Question 629584: If there is $4.15 in the jar, and there are 4 dimes, how many quarters are in the jar?
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4 dimes are worth 4*0.1 = 0.4 dollars.
So there are 4.15 - 0.4 = 3.75 dollars worth of quarters
So there are 3.75/0.25 = 15 quarters
