Let x amd (25-x)represent the number of dimes and nickels respectively
Question states***CENTS makes sense
10x + 5(25-x) = 150
Solving for x
5x =25
x = 5, number of dimes. 20 Nickels. (25-5)
CHECKING our Answer***
5*10 + 5 *20 = 150 or $1.50
