Let "q" be the number of quarters and "n" be the number of nickles.
Then 25q is the value of the quarters and 5n is the value of the nickles.
Equations:
q + n = 44 (This is the quantity equation.)
25q + 5n = 780 (This is the value equation.)
You may solve this system of equations by 1) substitution; 2)elimination;
3)graphing 4)matrices or 4)Cramer's method.
