Question 1179994: Mrs. King purchased pizzas for the children who took part in the Marks Shcool Science Fair. Each pizza cost $8.48. Twenty-two students each ate 3/4 of a pizza, and 11 students each ate 1/2 of a pizza. How much did it cost to buy pizzas for the students?
Answer by Boreal(15235)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
 22*(3/4)=66/4=16.5 pizzas
11*(1/2)=5.5 pizzas
that is 22 pizzas @$8.48=$186.56
can check
3/4 of a pizza would cost $6.36, and 22 of them would cost $139.92
1/2 would cost $4.24 and 11 of them would be $46.64
That sum is $186.56
