Write the number of coins equation:
n + d = 30
Which can be also written:
n = (30 - d)

Write the value equation:
.05n + .10d = 2.00

Substitute (30-d) for n in the above equation, find d:
.05(30-d) + .10d = 2.00
1.5 -.05d + .10d = 2
.05d - .10d = 2 - 1.5
