Ami's total was  5 + 10 + 25 + 50 + 100 = 190  cents.


After she lost one coin, there were THESE POSSIBILITIES for her reduced total :


    1)  190 -   5  = 185  cents;

    2)  190 -  10 = 180  cents;

    3)  190 -  25 = 155  cents;

    4)  190 -  50 = 140  cents;

    5)  190 - 100 =  90  cents.


Of these 5 reduced total values, ONLY ONE is multiple of 7.
