Question 1126001: If Tatiana has 2 more quarters than dimes and they have a combined value of 225 cents, how many of each coin does she have?
Answer by FrankM(1040) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If she has X dimes, she has X+2 quarters.
X Dimes are worth 10X cents
X+2 Quarters are worth 25(X+2) cents
10X+25X+50=225
35X=175
X=5 X+2 = 7
5 dimes = 50 cents
7 quarters are 175 cents.
