Michael has 28 coins in nickels and quarters. The total value of the coins is 2.40$. How many of each coin are there?
-----------------
n + q = 28
5n + 25q = 240
--------------------
n + q = 28
n + 5q = 48
--------
4q = 20
q = 5 (# of quarters)
n = 28-5 = 23 (# of nickels)
------------
