Question 1056607: Shaquan’s bank contains an equal number of nickels, dimes and quarters. The total value is $100. How many of each kind of coin is there?
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x=nickels,dimes,quarters
.05x+.10x+.25x=100.00
5x+10x+25x=10000
40x=10000
4x=1000
x=250 of each
That is $12.50 for nickels
$25 for dimes
$62.50 for quarters, and they add to $100.
